Welcome to ICE Institute – Driving Climate Action

Welcome to the Institute of Climate and Environment at SIMAD University!

We are thrilled to launch our new initiative, ICE Institute, at SIAMD University which will play a crucial role in addressing the pressing issue of climate change and protecting the environment in Somalia. The Institute of Climate and Environment will provide emerging leaders, researchers, and local communities with the knowledge and skills they need to understand and address the impacts of climate change. It will also serve as a valuable resource for policymakers, NGOs, and other organizations working on tackling cascading effects of climate change Somalia.

The Institute will also contribute to the development of a more sustainable and resilient Somalia, helping to ensure that the country is better prepared to cope with the impacts of climate change. This is particularly important given the vulnerability of Somalia to climate change and the urgent need to address this issue. We are committed to take bolder and louder action in the efforts of addressing climate change education, research and policy advocacy, and we look forward to the valuable contributions that the Institute of Climate and Environment will make to this effort.

We invite all stakeholders interested in our cause to join us in this important and timely work. Whether you are a student looking to gain knowledge and skills in climate and environmental issues, a researcher looking for a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, or a community member looking for a resource on climate and environmental issues, we welcome you to ICE Institute.
