What We Do
ICE institute is striving as the premier knowledge and solution hub of climate change and environmental issues in Somalia and beyond by driving climate action, developing a nature-positive economy, facilitating energy transition, and enhancing natural resource management. The Institute upholds its commitments to Paris Climate Agreement, UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, the Sustainable Development Goals, and conventions to acknowledge the urgent need to accelerate innovative interventions and scale up nature-based solutions for Net-Zero, a just transition, mitigation, and climate adaptation. Therefore, the Institute adopts five-pronged impact pathways.
