Introducing the New Cohort of Green Champions: Class of 2024

We are thrilled to announce that the new Green Champions Class of 2024 has been selected! This remarkable group of passionate, driven students will be at the forefront of sustainability efforts at SIMAD University. The Green Champions, an initiative of the Institute of Climate and Environment (ICE), is a dedicated student volunteer club committed to promoting environmental sustainability and climate action within our community and beyond.

The Green Champions Class of 2024 brings together a diverse cohort of individuals who share a common goal: to build a greener, more sustainable future for Somalia. These students will participate in projects and campaigns, focusing on environmental awareness, community outreach, and innovative solutions to local climate challenges.

Throughout the year, the Green Champions will receive specialized training, mentorship, and access to valuable resources, empowering them to make a lasting impact on our university and the wider community. Their efforts will align with national and international frameworks such as the Somali National Youth Development Plan, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the Paris Agreement.

Please Meet and welcome the Green Champions Class of 2024!
